November: what’s on?

Just because it’s cold, rainy and generally dreary outside, doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do. Come to The Foxton Centre where you can have a brew, a meal, warm up, play pool, read newspapers or books, play bingo (usually either Wednesdays or Thursdays at 1pm) or get involved in a variety of bi-weekly or one-off activities such as these:
Arts & Crafts – Christmas cards
Thursday, 5 November
Come and join us in making festive cards for your family and friends, or make a few to sell on our Christmas Fair stall. Bring your creativity – everything else will be provided.
Rivington walk
Friday, 6 November, meeting at TFC 10am.
Take in the stunning views of the rural Rivington landscape – situated on the fringe of the West Pennine Moors. Enjoy an active day out and explore more of Lancashire. Lunch will be provide for a small £1 contribution.
Arts & Crafts – dream catchers
Thursday, 12 November
Whether you made one before or never seen one in your life, pop in and let your creativity and imagination flow making these decorative accessories. Our dedicated volunteers and staff are going to be present to help you in the process.
Cook & Eat
Friday, 13 November
Whether your specialty is beans on toast, or you’re a more advanced cook – you won’t be disappointed. You’ll learn (or show off your) cooking skills through practice: cooking delicious meals, baking soft loaves of bread and sweetest cakes.
